Auto Crane is improving the crane ship kit packaging to better withstand the elements when cranes are stored outdoors. Plastic totes like the one shown below in Figure 1 are being used with a visible band and plastic zip ties to secure the cover.
Auto Crane has been able to achieve this improvement without adding cost by sourcing the totes direct from a regional manufacturer and optimizing the labor to be lean and improve quality.
