The following photos illustrate the sequence to install a new wire rope.
Rotate the drum on the hoist until the opening is at the top.
The loop should lay to the inside of the drum.
The end or the wire rope should visibly extend when the wedge is seated.
Drop the wedge into the slot and pull the slack from the long end of the wire rope.
Verify the end of the wire rope is still visible.
